Pick your app, paste, sign in.

Claude

  1. Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Brotask and paste the server URL.
  3. Click Connect, sign in to Brotask and approve.

ChatGPT

  1. Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced: turn on developer mode.
  2. Create a connector, paste the URL, choose OAuth.
  3. Sign in to Brotask and approve. Pick it from the tools menu in a chat.

Claude Code

  1. Run the command below.
  2. In Claude Code type /mcp, pick Brotask and sign in.

  1. Brotask → Settings → Connected apps → Add to Cursor (one click).

  3. Allow the sign-in the first time Copilot uses Brotask.

Anything else

  1. Remote MCP with OAuth: just the URL.
  2. Local-only (stdio) clients: run the bridge below.
  3. No sign-in support: create a personal access token in Settings → Connected apps.

    PKCE, short-lived tokens bound to Brotask, refresh tokens that rotate. Your password never reaches the AI app.

QUESTIONS

Before you connect.

No. Every plan can connect AI apps. Your plan's limits still apply (for example how many boards you can create), and AI features such as task suggestions use your AI credits.

Any client that supports remote MCP servers: Claude (web, desktop and mobile), ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and more. Apps that only run local servers can use the npx bridge.

No. Deleting tasks, notes, boards, projects and events, inviting people and posting comments others can see always show a confirmation you have to accept in the AI app.

Exactly what you can see in Brotask, limited to the permissions you approved. It can't reach other people's private boards or anything outside your workspace.

Open Settings → Connected apps in Brotask and click Revoke. Its tokens stop working immediately.

Yes: create a personal access token with the permissions you want and an expiry, and send it as a Bearer token. Use OAuth when your app supports it.
